Blair Set to Receive Award at HITEC® Dallas

Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®), will honor Dennis Blair, Jr., CHTP as the 2021 Certified Hospitality Technology Professional (CHTP®) of the Year recipient during HITEC® Dallas this September. The CHTP of the Year award honors the individual that scored the highest on the CHTP certification exam within a given year. Dennis Blair is an IT project manager for Hyatt New Openings and Transitions Team, working remotely from his home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida USA. He has enjoyed working with Hyatt for the last seven years of his career. His ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders, ownerships, management groups and peer resources ensure the successful opening and transitions of new Hyatt hotel properties.

Dennis has a degree in Management Information Systems from Northeastern University and holds technical certifications from Microsoft, CompTIA and VMware. Dennis's next step is to earn his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. He travels extensively for work, and enjoys staying active and keeping fit by kayaking, running and swimming.

The CHTP designation is the ultimate achievement in hospitality information technology by showing a dedication to both the hospitality and technology industries. The CHTP exam was first given in 1994 at HITEC in Dallas, Texas USA. Since then, more than 400 professionals have earned the CHTP designation around the world.
